I'm in!

Quick update on the career front. I was recently accepted into the "Mentoring: TNG (The Next Generation) Pilot Program" at the Smithsonian. I applied to be one of 15 mentees from across the institution and I got in. The goal of this 6-month program is to foster career potential and networking in emerging younguns' around the institution. I'll be paired with an as yet unnamed mentor. We'll meet over the next 6 months and I'll learn some stuff and get better at stuff and develop professionally and things. I'm actually pretty pumped about this. It's a great opportunity to get to know people across the institution, which doesn't happen much except via business-related email, and connect with a more experienced Smithsonianite who can give me tons of sage advice about careers and life.
