Addendum to "Oh Brother!"

Correction! Barron is right, I didn't just walk into my room and see all his junk...first. That was second. What happened first was even better. On that fateful Wednesday I ascended the Clarendon escalator to street level. I was looking down at my cell phone to see whether or not I had service. I planned on calling Barron the moment those little bars showed up on the screen. I noticed a red blur at my right coming towards me at lightening speed. I thought, Why wouldn't this strange red-shirted man pass behind me instead of heading straight towards me? It was Barron. There, that's the whole truth. We walked home arm in arm and it was grand.

Oh! And I forgot another sibling event. Last Wednesday night Barron and I met up with a couple former teachers of ours for dinner in Alexandria. It was such fun. The only unfortunate event was the torrential rain that accompanied us to and from the King Street metro stop. However, when Barron and I got on the metro car to ride home after dinner, we realized that we were completely alone on the car. Unprecedented! It was raining cats and dogs outside and there was no one to be disturbed by our loud voices on the train. You know what happened. Nay, what HAD to happen. We staged an impromptu musical. That's right, we used the ceiling bars and hand-grasping poles to swing around the car. We sang at the top of our lungs in our best Broadway voices for two full metro stops. Sadly, we had to calm down a bit when we got to the airport stop. People got on our car and we aren't so ignorant of social norms that we continued the magical nonsense after that. But I can say with great pride that I have officially been part of a musical on the metro. SWEET!
